Build the growing system, then learn from it.

The starting point

A growing system brings physical layout, access, water and everyday maintenance into the same practical experiment.

What I built

This archive records an earlier household hydroponics setup. Growing towers and horizontal channels bring together plant space, pipework, reservoirs and supporting structures. The photographs are records of that physical build.

The previous project page described a later rebuild and ideas for sensing, pump schedules and maintenance records. Those ideas are retained as direction rather than presented as working features of the photographed system.

This is a separate historical growing experiment. The images are not evidence of the current HEARTH installation, its telemetry or its controls.

The earlier channel arrangement made the growing structure tangible: pipework, plant openings and a supporting frame. Current sensor or automation behaviour is not shown.
